C. is a maternal wellness specialist working as a Postpartum Doula, Pre & Postnatal Health Coach & Personal Trainer, and Childbirth Educator. She is also a mom of 3 little boys ages 6, 4, and almost 2, and lives in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn with her husband and kids. Her work in the field of pre & postnatal wellness was born out of her own journey to motherhood, which included struggles with fertility, a miscarriage, and a wonderfully healthy pregnancy followed by a difficult postpartum period. She experienced firsthand how much support is needed throughout preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum and how much of that care is still lacking. Her goal is to help families have a confident and healthy transition to parenthood, by providing holistic support services across movement, nutrition, mindfulness, sleep, newborn care, lactation and rehabilitation.
“C. was an absolute godsend during those hazy postpartum days. We met before our baby arrived to discuss what her services would and could be, and from that first meeting I was already reassured that she would be the one. C. has so much knowledge about childbirth, pregnancy and just caring for moms that I felt completely safe with her. In my early post-partum days, she provided meals, postpartum care and many times a listening ear. She was helpful in so many ways, from her deep knowledge to holding the baby so I could take a nap. Later when I was cleared for exercise, C. led me in some gentle movement that had me feeling great. As first time parents, she set us up for success while emphasizing the need for Mama’s care. Engaging C.’s services was one of the best decisions I made in my pregnancy.” – Sabirah O.
“I cannot recommend C. enough as a postpartum doula! She made the first few months of postpartum so much easier to navigate and was such a source of comfort and advice. C. is extremely knowledgeable on newborn care, breastfeeding and the physical and emotional changes that happen to you post birth. She is professional, caring, non-judgmental and always helps you consider what is best for both mom and baby taking a holistic approach to care that prioritizes the entire family. It put my mind at ease that not only is C. trained as a postpartum doula, but she also has three children of her own! Before birth, C. gave me advice on physical exercises to do that kept me active up until the day I gave birth! It made for an easier physical recover post birth. C. is extremely responsive and very helpful if you need advice on anything small or big or even just someone to listen. Having C. as part of my postpartum care made such a difference and I am so grateful that both myself and my son had her as support.” Christina B.
