Hi, I’m S., a German registered nurse originally from Austria.

I gave birth to two children. One with the help of a doula and one without, and having the support made such a difference for me. Therefore, I became a doula myself.

As your birth and postpartum doula, I’m there for you during pregnancy to help you and your partner prepare for the birth experience you want. I stay by your side during labor, birth, and postpartum, providing emotional, physical, and informational support.

Kelsea: S. was absolutely amazing as our post partum doula for our newborn twins — in fact, we extended her contract multiple times! As someone new to the city, I was really nervous looking for someone who would be taking care of both our twins all night and S. went above and beyond. She’s very knowledgeable both in infant care as well as post partum recovery. She is both very personable and professional. Overall, she helped us achieve our goals of both my recovery from a complicated c-section as well as keeping our two babies well cared for and even helped us with sleep training — both our twins are now sleeping eight hours a night.

Emily: S. was our postpartum doula and she was absolutely essential in those early newborn days when we felt overwhelmed and exhausted. She supported our transition into parenthood, from helping us troubleshoot feeding and sleeping issues with our baby to just holding the baby so I could take a nap. She was even doting on our dog! We were so happy to have her, as she has a gentle and comforting presence – never pushy or judgmental – and was just easy to spend time with when you haven’t left your home in days. She’s also a total professional, extremely punctual, reliable and responsive.

Selena: I was supposed to have a homebirth and found S. Her prices were so reasonable and absolutely worth EVERY penny. She met at my apartment and we talked through different birthing positions and came up with a game plan for the big day, and she checked in often. Due to health complications i ended up having an induction at the hospital. S. was absolutely one of my rocks during that process. She stayed up with me all night doing counter pressure, hydrating me, feeding me, bringing me so much comfort and we had such a beautiful rhythm going. The hospital i birthed at was terrible and i seriously couldn’t have gotten through those days without my support team which includes S. She came whenever anyone that was in my room texted her, and when i felt like i could do it without her she would go home sleep and refuel so she could be ready for when i needed her again. She held my hand during my epidural, and when i went through transition she held my hands so tight and just let me yell and squirm and reassured me that i could do it. When my daughter was born we both cried and she held me and kept telling me how beautiful my baby was and that i did it. She stayed after to make sure i was okay. She checked in after for almost 3 weeks via texts, and came for a home visit. I felt so cared for. S. is part of my family and forever will be. She is exactly what a doula should be in every sense of the word and if i decide to have another baby she will be the doula at that birth 10000000%.

Carina: The lovely, friendly and authentic S. accompanied us via video call to prepare for the birth. She provided us with numerous exercises, assistance and positive encouragement. The exchange with her was very interesting and, above all, enormously enriching.

Arielle: S. is knowledgeable in all topics related to newborns, including feeding, bathing, sleeping, gassiness, babywearing, newborn illnesses, and more. S. is thoughtful, organized, respectful, and communicative, which ensures smooth and efficient visits. Her help in the postpartum period has been absolutely crucial for us as first time parents. I would recommend S. to  anyone seeking a guiding presence in the first few weeks of the child’s life.

Anais: S. is the best!!! My sister couldn’t make it to my birth and I had to look for a birth doula just a few weeks before my due date. She understood the urgency of establishing a positive connection before and after the birth. She helped me create a birth plan, practiced breathing exercises to help during labor and answer all my questions. She adapted her advice to the kind of intervention I wanted and clearly voicing her professional opinion when necessary. I believe having S. by my side made it very special and happy birth experience. Can’t recommend her enough 🙂
