K., is a birth and postpartum doula serving New York City and Westchester. She was trained by International Doula Institute as a
full-spectrum doula and in lactation through Go Milk Yourself by Francie Webb. She is also a licensed massage therapist, skilled in both prenatal and postpartum massage. She’s a mother of four and grandmother of eight. As a doula, K. provides emotional support and comfort measures continuously to both the laboring person and their partner. She creates the opportunity for peace of mind while navigating the unpredictability and possible stresses of birth. Along with sharing her experience and expertise, her presence as your “person in the room” will have you be confident and calm throughout your entire pregnancy journey. While she doesn’t offer clinical or medical advice, she will help you make informed choices that are in line with your preferences. She is patient while answering questions day or night and empowers new parents to trust their gut and believe in themselves. No question is too small – she knows what it’s like to be a new parent.
She’ll help you find the joy through the exhaustion. Whether you need guidance on how to dress (and undress) your baby, comfort your baby, swaddle, soothe and get them to sleep, or just take a much-needed nap, she’s there for you. She can also cook and clean and pick up supplies for anything you need postpartum – and offer the best massage.
