AJ earned a BA in Psychology and Cognitive Science with a focus on Cognitive Neuroscience. With an interest in reproductive healthcare and mental healthcare, AJ felt inspired to become a doula for individuals navigating a unique part of their lives. She is devoted to improving the physical and emotional health of women during the postpartum period.

AJ brings a unique combination of clinical literacy, organization, and compassionate support to her work. Her science and psychology background have helped her understand scientific reasoning behind many aspects of postpartum care. She is very comfortable thinking systematically, seeks to empower individuals, and build their confidence behind their decisions.

Outside of doula work, AJ has extensive experience working with special needs individuals and has previous experience in women’s healthcare spaces and clinical settings. She has worked as a clinical research assistant centered around brain health and reproductive healthcare, interned in a gynecological private practice, and attended panels relevant to reproductive psychiatry. Additionally, she has worked as a babysitter and volunteered as a personal patient navigator where she accompanies patients awaiting essential medical procedures. She is happy to bring all the skills she has learned from other work experiences to her doula approach.
