Hello, my name is Elizabeth.  As a certified Newborn Care Specialist with extensive training and experience I provide exceptional support for families navigating the most important early weeks with their newborn. I offer services following birth through 16 weeks -the 4th trimester as some may say! My professional services are customized to align with your family’s unique needs and preferences:

  • I serve as your knowledgeable partner during daytime hours, providing evidence-based newborn care, developmental support, and gentle guidance to foster confident parenting and newborn thriving
  • I implement structured nighttime feeding schedules, maintain detailed logs, and establish age-appropriate sleep routines that promote healthy development while allowing parents essential rest
  • I maintain cleanliness standards in your kitchen, including proper sanitization of all feeding equipment according to health guidelines
  • I manage all infant laundry needs with professional attention to detail, ensuring proper care of delicate fabrics and maintaining organization of baby’s essentials
  • I offer 12-hour day/night care services 4-6 days per week

I truly believe whether you are a postpartum mom, single parent, brand new fathers who adopted, or have been new parents before everyone deserves the support and village it takes to take care of newborns! It’s hard but rewarding, no one should have to do it alone:)

Testimonials

Elizabeth is one of the most trustworthy, magical, and kind humans I have ever met. She was our beloved baby nurse for my two youngest children immediately after they were born. We fell in love with how she interacted with our babies, and she has continued to help care for my three children as they have grown. It is rare to find someone that can spend long amounts of time in your home that is as calming and pleasant as Itty. We came to love her as a part of our family quickly and with ease. She seems to have a sixth sense of being able to differentiate between an overwhelmed parent that needs help and understanding when to give someone space.
I met Itty when I was a young, VERY nervous mother of one child. I was on a walk with my baby (who is now 14), and she stopped to say hello and welcome us to the neighborhood, as we had just moved in. She told me she loved little ones and was available to babysit. She quickly became our most trusted and dependable person to turn to when we needed childcare. It was clear that she would be the best choice to
start helping us as soon as my other two kids were born. I felt my newborns were as safe with her as they were when my own mother held them. It seemed like she had lived ten lives and had handled hundreds of babies! Her loving calm presence is something we have become used to but never taken for granted.
Itty is a “jack of all trades”. Her organizational skills are outstanding. She can help with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, nap time, bed time, swaddling, bathing and comforting infants. All of this was invaluable to our family. Caring for babies comes naturally for Itty, but she is also a passionate and hardworking learner. I think she was born with the ability to remain calm in situations that most people would find stressful. She is an “old soul” and someone that people of all ages are drawn to. Her ability to see things from different perspectives will allow her to work with many different types of people. As I learned to become a parent, I never once felt judged in her presence.
When Itty moves to New York, it will be a huge loss for our family. We will miss her dearly, but I amso happy for future mothers and tiny little babies that will get to experience the safety of her peaceful and and gentle love. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to
reach out.

To whom this may concern,

I am writing to recommend Elizabeth Burge for employment with your organization. My name is Alexandra B. and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who was lucky enough to employ Elizabeth for maternal and newborn care and support after the birth of my son. I know her to be a skilled, compassionate, and knowledgeable aide and caretaker. She exhibits great rapport building skills, strong work ethic, professional communication skills, positive attitude and calming presence, and a clear dedication to the babies and families she assists. She prioritized our son’s care with great attentiveness and sensitivity, and was highly respectful and responsive to needs and questions we had about caring for our newborn. I cannot imagine my son’s first few weeks earthside, and my postpartum experience, having been any better supported- largely due to the care and psychoeducation she provided during her time with my family.
