I am a trained doula and midwifery apprentice dedicated to supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I have supported hundreds of births in homes, birth centers, and hospitals, offering steady, informed, and compassionate care throughout each stage of the journey.
My work is rooted in holistic wellness and shaped by hands-on experience, including assisting a midwife in the volcanic mountains of Guatemala. That time deepened my understanding of physiological birth, traditional practices, and the importance of honoring birth as both a clinical and sacred transition. It continues to inform the way I support families with respect, presence, and trust in the body’s wisdom.
I provide emotional support, physical comfort measures, and evidence-based information so families can make empowered decisions with confidence. I also help create a grounded and calm environment where women feel safe, heard, and deeply supported.
As a mother of two, I bring lived experience and expanded empathy to my work. My role is to walk alongside families with steadiness and care as they welcome new life honoring their choices, their culture, and their unique birth story.

I had the pleasure of working with A. for a March 2017 delivery. After meeting with several doulas and not really feel a connection, I felt an immediate connection with A. She’s extremely positive and has a bright energy, and what I liked most about her was her firm and direct manner. I hoped to have a natural birth and I knew I needed someone who would push me in a loving but strong way. At the end of my pregnancy when I was stuck with a stubborn breech baby, A. was a comfort. She offered tips for how to turn the baby and even found me the name of a doctor who does vaginal breech deliveries. I opted for the c-section with my doctor and A. was there to support me in recovery. When my daughter was born we found out she had a cleft palate and wouldn’t be able to breastfeed, A. connected us with a lactation consultant who specializes in babies with cleft palates and lips. During our first days homes she touched base often to see how we were recovering and paid us a lovely post-partum visit. I would ENTHUSIASTICALLY RECOMMEND her to any way to seeking a doula.

A. is an amazing doula, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. She was there for us through the entire process and made us feel comfortable and prepared (as prepared as you can be!). As first time parents, we were quite anxious about the unknowns, both throughout the pregnancy and as we got closer to my due date. At the hospital, A. was an advocate, friend and advisor, and she gave me and my husband the ability to focus on bringing our baby into the world and navigating each phase of labor (and any decisions we had to make with our doctor). I know that the outcome was positive because A. was there to support us the entire way. She kept us relaxed and focused, and gave me strength when I didn’t think I had any left. David and I feel blessed to have had A. as our doula as we welcomed baby Elliott into the world!

My experience with A. has been great.
My husband and I first met her at a coffee shop to see if we were compatible. Her experience is quite impressive and we immediately loved her and decided that she would be our doula.
I am a first time mom and needed as much support as I could get given that we have no family in the city. She gave us a lot of information on what to expect and what her role would be during our prepartum visit.
When my time to be in the hospital arrived she was a great support to me. My delivery didn’t go at all as I planned it but she was there at every step of the way and gave her input for each curveball that was thrown at us. She paid a lot of attention to my comfort. Because labor was long, she left to rest (like I did too)and was back when it was time for baby to make her entrance.
She also provides placenta encapsulation which I decided to go for and the pills were brought to me during our postpartum visit during which she verified baby’s latch (I am exclusively breastfeeding).
I would totally do it the same way if I was given the option again.

A. was my wife’s and I Doula and she was amazing to say the least she was there for the easy time and for times that were extreme. I don’t know how we would’ve been able to manage a homebirth without her I know for all of our future babies she will be the first number we call to secure our due date. She helped my wife manage the labor and really helped her enjoy it. I know enjoy labor? But yes you can!!! Not only was she there for my wife but she was there for me to make sure I had the strength to go through this with my wife it wasn’t just my wife’s birthday but it was our best and that’s what made it special. We knew right away from our first meeting with A. that she was the right one for us. Professional, genuine and knowledgeable are just a few of her attributes. We did not have a doula with our first daughter, I ended up having a C-section (which I felt could have been prevented). Needless to say when I got pregnant again I knew I needed a champion in my corner. My goal this time around was to have a VBAC, A. made me feel comfortable and confident in all my decisions – she ensured that the hospital not only understood my goals to deliver naturally but respected them as well. Remarkable pain coping techniques( got my husband involved so he was equally helpful and supportive), she helped me stay calm, focused and most of all in control – she empowered in those moments when I couldn’t take it anymore and wanted to give up. Her gifts and energy extended beyond my delivery – she has impacted our whole family in such an unmeasurable way.

When I found out that I was pregnant my husband and I wanted a doula that was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with and we found that with A. Her presence during the birth of our daughter was a tremendous help. This was our first pregnancy and we both wanted to have an experienced and encouraging coach to help us along the way. I felt comfortable with her and was able to relate to her in every way possible. A. was helpful in educating us in what to expect in the weeks leading up to the birth, the childbirth process itself, and what to expect postpartum. My husband provided Ethiopian music that calmed and soothed me and candle lights. The environment and atmosphere my husband and our doula created was most comfortable and relaxing. A. was there with us at our home monitoring the contractions, my breathing, etc. A. was quick to suggest laboring positions and asked questions and make suggestions that were in my best interest. I labored at home for almost twenty one hours before giving birth. Our daughter, Charite was born at […] hospital in New York and A. was very professional and nurturing throughout the labor and delivery. I found her coaching and knowledge to be superior and comforting. A. helped us achieve our ideal labor and delivery. Charite was born naturally as I wanted and no epidural taken during labor. A. was a great cheerleader in moments where I thought I would not be able to deliver the baby. She is awesome and we recommend her highly.
