I am so happy you are here. If you’re feeling scared or overwhelmed right now, close your eyes for a second and breathe.

You are about to embark on an exciting adventure. As you begin to gather information and resources to help guide you along the way, I must take this moment to tell you the most important piece of information: you already have everything you need. Your body was meant to do this. You are meant to do this.

But that doesn’t mean you need to do it alone. Consider me an official member of your village. I am here to lighten the load and hold your hand as we walk through the unknown.

I have a BFA in Musical Theater from Ithaca College and I earned my certification from The International Doula Institute as a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding Counselor, and Childbirth Educator. I believe my acting training was more like “human training” and I am a more emotionally-mature, intuitive person because of it. As a huge proponent of talk therapy and mental health care, I am amazed at the effect our thoughts have on us and believe in the magic of affirmation and empowerment.  That being said, I am no stranger to the deeply rooted beliefs that may be holding us back and consider myself a gifted space-holder for my clients to feel their way through the messy and imperfect.

When I’m not on stage or holding babies, I’m walking around Brooklyn with my boyfriend and our rescue pup. I fancy myself a tarot card novice and I love to paint. Small talk is fine and dandy but I’ll go deep with you any day of the week. Reach out & let’s see if we’re a good fit 🙂

Testimonials

“K. has an incredibly warm demeanor and is just plain fun… she played games and sang songs… I really enjoyed talking to her during nap times. Can’t recommend K. enough!”

– Averil

“We felt so comfortable having her care for our baby while we got some much needed sleep. My husband and I would get in bed each time she visited and say “wow she’s great, so glad she’s here.” K. was warm and just so reassuring, even taught us a few things too! She always communicated, took notes on our baby’s wake/feed/diaper schedule, and was just such a great presence in our household.”

– Robyn

“Having K… felt like a ray of sunshine during a really dark time in our lives. I had a traumatic, nearly fatal, complication after having my baby. K. would put me in a better mood all day and the nights she’d be there were such a relief. I always felt safe and confident that my baby was being loved and cared for. K. is just such a doll. She let me vent about what I’d been through and made me feel heard. She was there to care for me just as much as my baby. We are truly grateful for K. and any family will be lucky to have her in their lives.”

– Lucy

“K. saved us during those fragile and special postpartum months, and I don’t know what we would have done without her. She was warm, proactive, and incredibly helpful with caring for the baby, doing work around the house, preparing food, and more. We trusted her immediately and our sensitive baby did too. K. walked in and quickly felt like that member of the family who always knows what to say to be supportive, what to do to help, and when to give you your own space and time. She is also just a lovely and positive force to be around. We’d hire her again in a heartbeat and any family would be lucky to have her support.”
